A year has pass by. I didn't expect I still can keep this blog alive. It's some kind of personnel achivement for me.There's a time when I thought I had enough. Bored. Feel like I'm just recycling my work. Beside, I've got to juggle my time with other commitment - my job, my family etc.

But just when I thought I want to stop, I discover something new. Something that keep pushing me to explore more. Google Sketch-up have evolved alot for the past years. But there's still many more that I couldn't catch up, and I believe there's alot more for me to learn.

Google Sketch-Up will be around for many more years to come. Hopefully, Sketchouse will still be around - alive and kicking!

A Mosque and a Madrasah for a muslim community in Cambodia. Since the buildings will be constructed by locals I've to consider their limitation - the construction method and the availability of buildings material.

Actually the 3D image is not really necessary, but old habit die hard.

Student Plaza

Originally it was design as a student plaza surrounded by an academic building and a library which I did a few years back. Actually I don't remember I had ever design it. Only recently I discovered the drawing while I go trough my old backup CDs. Since the original drawing I found was very simple and bare, I decided to add some hard and soft landscape and a few human figures to make it looked more lively and interesting. I have a lot of fun doing it.

Another Mosque For The Community

A mosque in the northern state of Malaysia. A very typical mosque as a centre of community activities. I don't really bother about the design concept but more on the planning and the site location. There is an airport of The Royal Air Force Fying Academy nearby, so the overall height of the mosque has to be below the allowed height by the Aviation Department.

Since the client insisted on having a mineret, I've to design the right propotion of the mineret.

Having SketchUp as a tool for designing, I've no problem to design a series of mineret design option.

T-shirt Design for Old boys

An old friend asked me a favour to design a t-shirt for his 1976/80 batch. So I came out with a few design, two of them shown above. Basically the design should incorporate the college colours, black,white, yellow and red, the years and the word uniqorn ( their batch name).

A Site Office for a Development Project

Site office for a development project in a university campus. The idea of this office design is, it will be converted to a maintainance office for the university when the project has been completed. It's a strait forward design to housed all the resident consultants and the officers incharged of the project. The only difficult part is to construct the contour and slopes with SketchUp.

A commercial centre with high rise condominium, terrace houses an institutional complex and a club house, all in one file. Part of my earlier post. I think it's the biggest and the most complex drawing I've ever done with SketchUp. Amazing and exhausting!

A New Mosque to replaced the older one. This is one of the earlier proposal. It doesn't quiet pleased the client, so I came out with a few ( a lot in fact) more design until they agreed with it.

Located somewhere in Shah Alam, this intergrated development proposal was quite difficult to construct using SketchUp at that time because the earlier version of sketchUp cannot handle a complex drawing. Anyway I managed to complete it on time.

Ini adalah cadangan awal sebuah hospital swasta di Shah Alam. Bangunan hospital di kanan dan yang di kiri adalah bangunan apartment. Saya menghabiskan masa seminggu untuk membuat lakaran awal, membuat pelan dan membina imej 3D ini untuk dipresent kepada klien. Ok, dia suka tapi rakan kongsi yg seorang lagi tak suka design yg kontemporari begini (sebenarnya tak kontemporari pun), dia lebih cenderung kepada design otai-otai - pitch roof, column and beam line...susah juga melayan orang banyak duit ni.

Futuristic City To Kill My Time

Saya berangan-angan untuk melukis komik futuristik tentang masa depan bolasepak di alaf akan datang. Bagaimana ia dimainkan. Siapa yg memainkannya. Semuanya telah berlegar-legar dalam kepala untuk beberapa tahun. Tapi tak jadi kenyataan. Malah saya telah buat beberapa sketch tangan robot-robot yang akan bermain bola sepak itu(akan saya post kemudian). Tapi kalau tak dimulakan memang la tak menjadi (rupa-rupanya astro dah 'curi' idea saya dulu). Imej-imej di atas ini adalah sebahagian dari imej 3D yang saya buat dengan SketchUp kononnya untuk latarbelakang keseluruhan cerita komik itu, tapi nampaknya angan tinggal angan sajalah.

Timber House for a Very Rich Timber Merchant from Alor Star

Rumah kayu ini untuk seorang kawan kontrektor di Alor Star. Anak ramai dan rumah pusaka sedia ada dah usang. Jadi dia minta designkan sebuah rumah yang lebih selesa dan cukup untuk ahli keluarganya yang ramai itu. Bilik tidur cukup untuk anak lelaki dan perempuan, satu master bedroom untuk tuan rumah dan sebuah untuk tetamu bermalam. Ruang dapur yang luas, senang kalau ada kenduri kendara. Keseluruhan proses design saya lakukan terus dengan SketchUp.
Tuan punya suka dengan hasilnya, tapi tak tahulah dah dibina atau belum. Dengar dia sibuk sekali. Kali terakhir dengarnya sedang membalak di Terengganu.
